{"id":34,"date":"2019-06-20T19:28:59","date_gmt":"2019-06-20T18:28:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jewishbitsandpieces.rennert.org\/?p=34"},"modified":"2019-06-26T08:12:44","modified_gmt":"2019-06-26T07:12:44","slug":"the-new-mikvah-in-bardejov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jewishbitsandpieces.rennert.org\/index.php\/2019\/06\/20\/the-new-mikvah-in-bardejov\/","title":{"rendered":"The &#8220;New&#8221; Mikvah in Bardejov"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the Shoah, and with communist rule well established (though perhaps not totally accidentally three years after Stalin&#8217;s death), in the year 1956, the Jews in Bardejov decided to build a new <cite>Mikvah<\/cite> right next to the old one.<\/p>\n<p>The old Mikvah was too big for the few survivors who had returned. The pool is approximately 160 cm deep.
