The former synagogue of Szolnok is one of Lipot Baumhorn‘s many. There’s a statue of this famous architect in front of the building that today serves as an art gallery.
The synagogue itself has a great location at the end of the pedestrian bridge across the river Theiss/tisza on the one side and one of the nicest streets in Szolnok we have seen on the other. It is an impressive building, eclectic style with Rundbogen elements. All architectural elements inside are kept in white, so it can be used for the purpose of an art gallery.
